As part of its continued growth, the firm is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its elite finance team.

Position Overview:
This role will focus on tax compliance and reporting for both fund entities and family office clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public accounting, deep knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, and hands-on experience with fund accounting. This is a high-visibility role offering exposure to complex tax structures and cross-border considerations, with the flexibility to work from either Stamford or NYC offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tax filings for hedge fund entities and family office clients
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax disclosures under GAAP and IFRS
  • Support quarterly and annual tax reporting, including K-1s and partnership allocations
  • Collaborate with fund accounting and legal teams to ensure tax compliance across jurisdictions
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on fund and client structures
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure timely and accurate filings
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the tax function
  • Provide tax support for investment transactions and structuring decisions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience or peer firm experience, ideally with exposure to hedge funds or asset management
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
  • Experience with fund accounting and partnership tax reporting
  • CPA preferred or in progress
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
