Sr. Internal Auditor - Banking (all genders)

A leading European financial institution specializing in private banking and wealth management, offering personalized services, stability, long-term growth, and innovative digital solutions. They are seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to strengthen its audit function. The company offers a collaborative and professional environment with opportunities for growth.
Position: Senior Internal Auditor (all genders)
Location: Zürich (hybrid)
Estimated Salary: 125.000-150.000* CHF base
Languages: Fluent German (C1+) and proficient English (B1+)
Travel: estimated at about 15% in the region
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits across all operational and business areas of the organization and its subsidiaries
- Prepare audit reports in a timely manner, lead closing meetings, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on various ad-hoc inquiries
- Deliver analyses, evaluations, and relevant information on audited activities to management and governance bodies
- Contribute to internal development initiatives and digital transformation projects
- Collaborate with group audit teams, external auditors, and regulatory authorities
Profile Requirements
- The legal right to work and live in Switzerland without sponsorship
- Fluent in German (C1) and proficient in English (B1)
- University degree or equivalent qualification in business, finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as a CIA is an advantage
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in internal/external audit or financial review
- Ideally, experience in auditing cross-border group structures
- Strong analytical skills, structured approach, and ability to understand complex relationships
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Confident demeanor, resilience, flexibility, and willingness to travel for audits
