Position Title: Financial Analyst, Senior

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join a dynamic and collaborative finance team. The position focuses on managing internal and external incentive compensation programs, supporting regulatory reporting requirements, and driving process improvements across financial operations.

The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between finance, human resources, and sales teams, ensuring that incentive structures are accurately administered and aligned with organizational goals. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across various departments.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Incentive Program Administration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated line of business regarding incentive compensation program management.
  • Administer internal and external incentive programs, including data extraction, reconciliation, and updates to ensure accurate and timely calculations.
  • Run and maintain complex financial models to calculate incentive payouts and forecast future compensation scenarios.
  • Summarize and present incentive data to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with human resources and sales leadership to align incentive structures with performance goals and business objectives.

Regulatory Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee monthly reporting processes required by government mandates, including data validation, report generation, and distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies related to financial reporting and incentive compensation.
  • Resolve queries and discrepancies related to regulatory reports in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails to support internal and external reviews.

Financial Controls & Audit Support

  • Conduct regular audits of incentive compensation data and processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Review internal controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen compliance and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to support periodic reviews and assessments.

Incentive Goal Development

  • Lead the development of incentive goals and targets, including financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Provide recommendations based on historical performance, market trends, and strategic priorities.
  • Work closely with management to gain alignment and approval for proposed incentive structures.

System Preparation & Testing

  • Support system setup activities for incentive programs, including plan design configuration, data population, and testing.
  • Ensure systems are accurately reflecting approved incentive plans and are functioning as intended.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in collaboration with IT and vendor partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the finance liaison to human resources and sales teams throughout the annual incentive compensation lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between departments to ensure smooth execution of incentive programs.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on incentive processes, policies, and systems.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, incentive compensation, or related areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a proven ability to work with large datasets and complex models.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and a history of driving process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Access or similar database tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience with incentive compensation systems such as Oracle Fusion or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements related to employer group incentives.
  • Background in working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
