As part of continued growth, they are looking for a Software Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative technology team supporting both internal platforms and portfolio companies.
The Role
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of modern software solutions used across a range of healthcare and life sciences initiatives. You'll work closely with stakeholders, data teams, and fellow engineers to build scalable applications, improve system reliability, and help drive technical innovation.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services
- Build and integrate APIs between internal and external platforms
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data, product, and business stakeholders
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Support cloud infrastructure and deployment processes
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, automation, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Commercial experience as a Software Engineer or Backend Developer
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software development best practices
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a wider team
- Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience within life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or regulated industries
- Exposure to data engineering or analytics platforms
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure or DevOps processes
- Understanding of security and compliance-focused environments
- Hybrid working model based in Amsterdam
