Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile statutory accounting records in compliance with regulations and standards
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements for statutory reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and validate financial data
- Assist in audit preparation and support external auditors during reviews
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Stay informed on changes in statutory accounting regulations to ensure compliance
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Participate in special projects and perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed
- Conduct in-depth analytics on statutory reporting and prepare management discussion and analysis
- Develop summary reports and agendas based on analytical findings
- Prepare and reconcile State Premium Stop-Loss recovery billing
- Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, to support monthly close processes
