Senior Software Engineer
A rapidly growing multi-strategy hedge fund is looking to hire a Senior Python Engineer to join their Engineering team under the leadership of the CTO. This role offers the chance to work alongside top-tier technologists and to contribute to the development of cutting-edge systems that support the firm's impressive growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer (7+ YOE), with strong python programming ability, and familiarity working in an AWS cloud environment. Additionally, communication skills are important, as you will be frequently interacting with front office stakeholders in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable services supporting both customer and internal facing applications
- Building and managing account systems and platform APIs
- Architecting and implementing data pipelines and data infrastructure in a cloud-based environment
- Design and resolve complex software issues for the firm's investment technology
- Build and maintain serverless and event-driven systems
Professional Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 7+ years of experience in Software or Cloud Engineering
- Expert level Python Proficiency
- Professional experience contributing to the development of a AWS Cloud Infrastructure
- Familiarity with Pandas is a plus
- Proficiency in Linux environments, system administration, and shell scripting
