Senior Individual Tax Accountant
Our client, a boutique family office dedicated to serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families is looking to bring on an individual tax professional at either the Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Manager level.
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will focus on tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals and family offices with complex investment structures. This includes coordination with philanthropic initiatives, trust and estate planning, and other sophisticated financial strategies. The role may involve handling technically challenging matters and will be supported by a Staff Accountant to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, trust, and private foundation tax returns, supporting complex transactions for clients with investments in private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
- Assist with tax research and consulting projects as needed.
- Develop a strong understanding of family office structures and advanced planning strategies.
- Collaborate across the team to deliver proactive, high-quality tax advisory services.
- Execute work with minimal oversight, meeting client and internal deadlines.
- Take on additional assignments aligned with the firm's mission to serve dynamic client needs.
- Provide feedback and continuously improve processes to enhance team success.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, project management skills, and a commitment to exceptional client service.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while thriving in a team setting.
