Senior Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading international company, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team in their Eastern Bavaria office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the renewable energy sector, where you'll play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, and process optimisation. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial operations, contributing to the company's mission of driving sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements in line with IFRS and HGB standards
• Manage closing activities at month-end, including reconciliations, postings, and internal reporting
• Act as a point of contact for auditors and external consultants during audits and tax-related processes
• Drive efficiency by identifying gaps and implementing improvements in financial workflows
• Analyse and resolve complex accounting matters to ensure compliance and accuracy

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; additional qualification (e.g., certified accountant) preferred
• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS experience is an advantage
• Experience in external accounting and audit support
• Fluent in German and proficient in English
• Skilled in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Excel
• Familiarity with German GAAP and VAT returns
