Senior Controller / VP

Selby Jennings is currently partnered with a recognized leader in providing private markets investment and technology solutions to clients across the globe, currently managing $100b+ in discretionary assets.

Due to organizational growth, they are looking to bring on a SVP/Senior Controller that will be responsible for fund accounting/operations, including team leadership and oversight of strategic firm initiatives relating to accounting and reporting matters.

This role provides a direct pathway to work closely with the wider leadership team, with an immediate chance to make an impact and contribute to the success of the firm.

Responsibilities Include:

• Streamlining reporting across open-ended and closed ended funds
• Oversight of year end tax, audit, and compliance
• Participation of complex structuring & reporting discussions pertaining to fund operations/accounting
• Review of annual/quarterly financial statements
• Managing third party relationships
• Participating in leadership and strategic discussions pertaining to best practices and quality reporting
• Process improvement and implementation across accounting and reporting processes/procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CFA certification
• Previous leadership experience
• 10-12+ years of relevant fund accounting experience
• Exposure to open-ended fund coverage a plus
• Strong proficiency in Excel
