Senior Casualty Underwriter

The ideal candidate will be responsible for underwriting complex commercial casualty risks, ensuring profitable growth, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients. This role requires a deep understanding of casualty insurance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.

• Develop and execute strategic plans with brokers and agents to drive profitable growth.

• Analyze risk exposures and determine appropriate pricing and coverage terms.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including claims, risk engineering, and marketing, to deliver exceptional service.

• Monitor portfolio performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to team development.

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of casualty underwriting experience.

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

• Proven ability to analyze complex risks and make data-driven decisions.
