Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Account Executive with deep expertise in self-funded health plans to manage a portfolio of mid-to-large employer clients. This role is responsible for leading client relationships, developing strategic benefit plans, and ensuring the successful execution of renewals, compliance, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic benefit plans, with a focus on self-funded medical, pharmacy, and ancillary programs.
  • Analyze claims data, funding arrangements, and utilization trends to guide client decisions.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and compliance teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships including TPAs, PBMs, stop-loss carriers, and wellness providers.
  • Present renewal strategies, benchmarking insights, and cost containment recommendations to client leadership.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging solutions in the self-funded space.
  • Support new business development and participate in finalist presentations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting or account management, with a strong focus on self-funded plans.
  • Deep understanding of plan design, funding strategies, claims analysis, and vendor negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and build trusted client relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree required; CEBS, RHU, or other industry certifications preferred.
