Job Title: Director - Restructuring
Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid with local Client Travel Required)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director to join its leadership team. This role is ideal for a seasoned consultant or executive with a strong background in turnaround management, accounting, corporate finance, or operational strategy. As a Director, you will lead client engagements, manage cross-functional teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives navigating periods of disruption, growth, or transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex client engagements, including turnaround, restructuring, and strategic advisory projects.
  • Diagnose operational and financial issues, develop actionable strategies, and oversee implementation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client executives, boards, and key stakeholders.
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams, providing mentorship and oversight to junior staff.
  • Develop financial models, performance dashboards, and strategic plans tailored to client needs.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing, client presentations, and relationship management.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in turnaround and management consulting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CTP preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in controllership/acocunting, management consulting, corporate restructuring, investment banking, or executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading client engagements and managing teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong financial acumen, with advanced Excel and modeling skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working with distressed companies or in special situations.
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy processes, creditor negotiations, and operational turnarounds.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative and hands-on leadership style.

Expected Compensation:

Base Salary: $140k - $180k

Total Compensation: $180k - $200k+
