Rates Solution Sales
We are working with a leading global investment bank looking to add to its Rates Solutions Sales team in Paris.
The successful candidate will focus on delivering tailored interest rate and financing solutions to French institutional clients, working closely with trading, structuring and broader sales teams. This is a solutions-led position requiring strong technical understanding of rates products alongside the commercial ability to originate ideas, develop client relationships and identify hedging and investment opportunities.
The role would suit someone currently working within Rates Solutions, Rates Sales, Fixed Income Solutions or Rates Structuring who wants to maintain a highly client-facing position.
Key Responsibilities
- Coverage of institutional clients across asset managers, pension funds, insurers, bank treasuries and other sophisticated investors.
- Originate and deliver rates solutions based on clients' investment, hedging, duration and balance-sheet requirements.
- Provide solutions across products including interest rate swaps, government bonds, inflation, options and other rates derivatives.
- Work closely with Rates Trading and Structuring to develop tailored trade ideas and solutions.
- Identify opportunities across both flow and structured rates products.
- Provide clients with market colour, relative-value ideas and strategic hedging opportunities.
- Develop and grow existing relationships while helping expand the firm's client franchise.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Fixed Income and Global Markets to deliver broader cross-product solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Experience within Rates Solutions Sales, Institutional Rates Sales, Fixed Income Solutions or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of interest rate derivatives and fixed-income markets.
- Experience working with institutional clients and understanding their investment and hedging requirements.
- Commercial and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to translate complex market dynamics into relevant client ideas.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- Comfortable working closely with sales, trading and structuring teams.
- Demonstrable interest in developing a long-term career within Rates Solutions Sales.
