Private Equity Associate
We are currently representing a leading middle-market private equity firm based in Washington, DC. With a strong track record of investing in companies across a range of industries, the firm manages over $6 billion in capital and currently holds more than 45 active portfolio companies. The team is seeking to add a Private Equity Associate to support its dynamic and growing investment platform.
Private Equity Associate Role Overview:
The Associate will play a key role in all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing and evaluating new opportunities to executing transactions and supporting portfolio companies post-close. This position offers significant exposure to senior investment professionals and operating executives, providing a unique opportunity to develop deep transactional and operational expertise.
Private Equity Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct industry and company-specific research to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
- Participate in all aspects of due diligence, including market sizing, customer calls, and management meetings.
- Assist in the preparation of investment committee materials and internal memos.
- Support portfolio companies with strategic initiatives, performance tracking, and value creation planning.
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity and a passion for value creation.
