Private Equity Analyst
We are assisting a reputable dual currency fund in hiring a Private Equity Analyst to support its investment team in Shanghai and Beijing. This role offers exposure to complex transactions and strategic investments across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Screening: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities in target sectors.
- Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models, perform valuation analyses (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions).
- Due Diligence: Coordinate and execute due diligence processes across financial, legal, and operational aspects.
- Transaction Support: Contribute to deal structuring, negotiation, and execution, including preparation of term sheets and closing documentation.
- Investment Committee Materials: Draft investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal review and decision-making.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track performance of portfolio companies, analyze KPIs, and support value creation initiatives post-investment.
- Market Research: Conduct industry and competitive analysis to inform investment strategies.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting; buyout experience strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Excel; familiarity with transaction structuring.
- Language: Fluent in Mandarin and English; ability to work with USD/RMB structures is advantageous.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields; CFA or CPA is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
