We're hiring a Principal Software Engineer to join a high-impact team focused on building scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions in the home lending space, under our leading consumer banking branch.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design and development of complex, reusable software frameworks using Java and cloud-native architectures.
• Drive AI/ML integration into backend systems, identifying opportunities to enhance product capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Oversee proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies and guide strategic adoption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Champion engineering best practices across development, testing, and deployment, with a focus on scalability and security.
• Influence architectural decisions and mentor engineering teams across domains.

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with deep expertise in Java and backend systems.
• Proven track record in cloud technologies (preferably AWS or Azure) and AI/ML integration.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software development, system design, and operational stability.
• Experience leading technical strategy and communicating effectively with senior leadership.
• Formal training or certifications in software engineering and cloud/AI technologies are a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

• Current Principal, Staff, Tech Lead, or relevant level
• Full-time experience (not contractors)
• Experience in finance and consumer banking
