We are partnering with a rapidly growing private credit firm based in Charlotte to identify an Operations Specialist to support its expanding platform. This individual will sit at the intersection of front office and back office, playing a critical role in supporting transaction activity, maintaining portfolio integrity, and enhancing operational efficiency across the business.
The role offers direct exposure to investment professionals, complex credit products, and a collaborative, high-performance culture. Key Responsibilities
- Provide middle and back office support across private credit funds, including bank loans, structured credit, and other opportunistic investments
- Partner with investment teams on new transactions, trade activity, and portfolio-related inquiries, including P&L and exposure analysis
- Maintain accurate fund records within portfolio accounting systems, including positions, cash activity, and transaction details
- Perform daily reconciliations across cash, positions, and accruals in coordination with third-party administrators
- Review daily P&L and identify discrepancies, working cross-functionally to resolve breaks
- Collaborate with internal teams across accounting, treasury, and reporting to support ongoing fund operations
- Contribute to process improvements and operational projects aimed at scaling infrastructure and enhancing efficiency
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience within financial services, preferably in credit, asset management, or hedge fund operations
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, including loans, bonds, and derivatives
- Proficiency in Excel and experience working with portfolio accounting systems
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; progress toward CFA is a plus
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface across teams and senior stakeholders
