Location: Flexible (Preferred: Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles)
Compensation: Highly Competitive - Base Salary $400K-$600K + Lucrative Bonus Structure, expected all-in comp over $1M
We are partnering with a highly respected boutique investment bank that has been serving the middle market for over 25 years, specializing in M&A and ESOP advisory services. The firm is known for its deep expertise, collaborative culture, and long-standing client relationships.
Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and support a nationally distributed team of 16 Managing Directors focused on Business Development. This is a strategic leadership role focused on enhancing collaboration, optimizing the sales process, and providing hands-on support to the BD team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 16 regionally based MDs across the U.S.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing among BD professionals.
- Oversee and refine the sales process to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide strategic and tactical support, including attending client meetings and calls.
- Optionally manage and grow banking and sponsor relationships to generate business.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in Investment Banking, with a strong understanding of the IB sales cycle.
- Demonstrated success in sales leadership or business development management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lead without direct revenue expectations, while optionally contributing to business generation.
- Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks per month for client meetings.
