Job Overview:
A leading real estate investment firm is seeking a Managing Director of Capital Formation to raise capital for the firm's invesment products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead capital formation initiatives for the firm's private credit strategies, including debt and credit opportunities across various risk-return profiles.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting institutional investors, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and other potential capital sources.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with investors, ensuring consistent communication and excellent service.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align capital formation efforts with the firm's overall strategic vision and investment goals.
- Present the firm's strategies, performance, and investment opportunities to prospective and existing investors.
- Lead investor due diligence meetings, responding to investor queries, and facilitating the flow of information between investors and the investment team.
- Develop marketing materials, investor presentations, and regular updates for stakeholders.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to the firm's internal controls during the fundraising process.
- Monitor market trends, competitor fundraising activities, and investor sentiment to refine the firm's positioning.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Job Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, or business development within the real estate or alternative investment sectors.
- Proven track record of raising significant capital from a wide range of institutional investors.
- Strong understanding of private credit markets, investment strategies, and structures.
- Deep network of relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies to sophisticated investors.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or other relevant qualifications preferred.
