Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join the Management Liability team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building strong broker partnerships while driving profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwriting Expertise:

  • Evaluate, price, and underwrite Management Liability risks, including Directors & Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary Liability, and related coverages.
  • Apply sound judgment and adhere to underwriting guidelines to ensure profitability and compliance.

• Broker Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail and wholesale brokers nationwide.
  • Provide responsive, solution-oriented service to brokers and clients.

• Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor and manage a book of business to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.

• Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including claims, actuarial, and operations, to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to team development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of underwriting experience in Management Liability lines (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary).
• Strong technical knowledge of coverage forms, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.
• Established broker network and proven ability to build relationships.
• Experience in an MGA or carrier environment preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
