Investment Banking Associate | Software

Selby Jennings is partnered with a bespoke specialized Boutique focused on Software M&A to bring an experienced Senior Analyst or Associate to their team. This platform boasts a track record of punching above their weight class, closing 3+ deals/year across a lean dynamic team, and are looking to add an experienced banker to their team to work on executing deals across their robust pipeline.

Ideal candidates are current Senior Analyst or Investment Banking Associates that have experience closing 1+ Software M&A deal, and interested in a platform offering strong deal flow, competitive compensation, upward mobility, and strong work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support sell-side M&A processes for technology companies (primarily SaaS).
• Build and maintain complex financial models, including SaaS-specific metrics and LBO analysis.
• Prepare pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, and other client materials.
• Conduct industry research, valuation analyses, and strategic assessments.
• Manage multiple workstreams and coordinate with clients, investors, and internal team members.

Qualifications:

• 2-4+ years of investment banking experience, ideally in technology coverage or M&A.
• Strong technical skills: financial modeling, valuation, SaaS metrics, and deal structuring.
• Experience with middle-market transactions and familiarity with private equity dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present confidently to senior executives.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
