Our client is seeking a highly skilled Storage & Data Infrastructure Engineer to join a team responsible for designing, scaling, and optimizing the data platforms that support a global high-performance trading environment. This role sits at the intersection of storage engineering, distributed systems, Linux performance tuning, and platform automation.
The ideal candidate enjoys working deep in the infrastructure stack, solving complex performance challenges, and operating large-scale systems where reliability, observability, and low-latency performance are critical.

What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and operate large-scale storage and data infrastructure supporting critical business systems
- Engineer scalable storage solutions across enterprise, open-source, and S3-compatible platforms
- Optimize Linux environments for throughput, latency, I/O performance, and reliability
- Develop infrastructure services, tooling, and automation in Python and Java
- Build and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure and data platforms
- Architect and support Hadoop ecosystems and large-scale data processing environments
- Partner with engineering teams supporting Kafka and other distributed data systems
- Create observability and monitoring solutions using Prometheus and related tooling
- Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration management, and operational workflows
- Drive architectural improvements as storage and data demands continue to grow
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in storage, infrastructure, systems, or distributed systems engineering
- Deep Linux administration and performance tuning experience
- Strong Python and/or Java development skills
- Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production
- Background supporting Hadoop, YARN, distributed compute, or data platforms
- Experience with storage technologies including object storage, enterprise storage, or open-source storage solutions
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure
- Experience with Prometheus, monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms
- Strong troubleshooting, reliability, and performance optimization skills

Compensation
- Base Salary: $175,000 - $225,000
- Bonus: Generous annual discretionary bonus
