Investment Banking Associate (Financial Sponsors)

Location: San Francisco, CA

A leading global bulge bracket Investment bank is seeking an Associate to join its growing Financial Sponsors coverage team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with private equity clients across a wide range of strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, restructurings, and capital raises in both public and private markets.

The ideal candidate will gain deep exposure to sponsor-backed dealmaking and play a key role in executing complex transactions across Technology.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ years of investment banking experience, preferably in tech coverage, leverage finance, or financial sponsors
• Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, LBO analysis, and deal structuring.
• Experience preparing pitch books, CIMs, board materials, and management presentations.
• Solid foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and market trends.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong executive presence.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, collaborate cross-functionally, and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• A high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
