About the Opportunity

We are partnered with a leading proprietary trading firm that is making a significant investment into the prediction markets space and is seeking a senior individual to lead the build-out of this business.

This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and take ownership of both the trading operation and the broader growth strategy. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to shape the direction of the desk, develop new market opportunities, and build a market-leading platform within one of the fastest-growing areas of quantitative trading.

Backed by strong infrastructure, capital, and senior leadership support, this role is ideal for someone looking to combine trading expertise with commercial leadership and team-building responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Trading & Research

• Build trading strategies across prediction markets and related event-driven opportunities.
• Identify and analyse market inefficiencies across forecasting platforms, exchanges, and alternative market structures.
• Build and improve quantitative models, pricing frameworks, and risk management systems.
• Leverage data, statistics, and market intelligence to generate new sources of alpha.
• Work closely with technology and quantitative teams to enhance trading infrastructure and execution capabilities.

Leadership & Team Building

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of Traders, Quant Researchers, and Quantitative Analysts.
• Establish best-in-class trading, research, and risk management processes.
• Drive hiring initiatives and play a key role in attracting top talent to the business.
• Create a scalable framework for future growth of the desk and broader organisation.
• Foster a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture.

Business Development & Growth

• Help define and execute the long-term vision for the prediction markets business.
• Identify new market opportunities across prediction markets, sports betting, event-driven trading, elections, macroeconomic events, and emerging alternative products.

• Quantitative Research & Systematic Trading
• Macro, Elections, Geopolitical & Alternative Data Markets

Successful candidates will typically possess:

• A proven track record of success within trading, quantitative research, or forecasting markets.
• Strong understanding of probability, statistics, market structure, and risk management.
• Experience building, managing, or mentoring trading and research teams.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a growing business.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and scale new initiatives.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
