Head of Operations | Hedge Fund

We are working with a well-established Chinese hedge fund that specializes in long-term, fundamental investing in large-cap, blue-chip Chinese listed companies. The firm is expanding its operations team and is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support its growing investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily trade operations, including trade capture, settlement, reconciliation, and cash management across multiple markets and custodians.
• Manage relationships with prime brokers, fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers.
• Ensure accurate and timely NAV reporting, fund accounting oversight, and performance reporting.
• Support compliance and regulatory reporting requirements in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain operational controls and workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with investment and finance teams to support portfolio activity, capital movements, and investor reporting.
• Lead or support system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process improvements across the operations function.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, or middle office roles, preferably with exposure to Chinese equity markets.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, fund accounting, and operational risk controls.
• Experience working with Chinese listed securities, including A-shares, H-shares, and cross-border flows.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a lean, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with fund structures, regulatory frameworks, and operational best practices in Hong Kong and mainland China.
