Head of Finance | Chinese securities firm

Our client is a prominent Chinese securities firm with a strong footprint across Greater China and growing international ambitions. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead the Hong Kong finance function and serve as a key business partner to the Group CFO based in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance function for the Hong Kong entity, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements and SFC/HKMA regulatory reports.
• Partner with the Group CFO and senior stakeholders to align local financial strategy with group-wide objectives.
• Oversee internal controls, risk management, and audit processes.
• Support capital markets activity, M&A, and other strategic initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within securities, investment banking, or broader financial services.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Proven ability to operate in a cross-border, matrixed environment.
• Commercially astute, with a strategic mindset and hands-on execution capability.
