Head of Accounting & Finance

Our client are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Accounting & Finance to lead the financial operations of a dynamic manufacturing organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and compliance with Swiss and international accounting standards. The successful candidate will act as a key business partner to senior management, driving financial performance and supporting long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP and IFRS.
• Drive annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, margins, and operational KPIs to optimize profitability.
• Implement best practices and digital tools to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial analysis and recommendations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring strong internal control frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a complex, international environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
