Gaming, Lodging & Leisure Analyst - Buy-Side Equity Research

Known for its innovative investment approach, the firm integrates deep fundamental research with data science and technology to generate alpha across public markets. They are currently seeking a Gaming, Lodging & Leisure (GLL) Analyst to join their Long/Short Consumer team.
Job Description:
As a GLL Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing investment opportunities across the Gaming, Lodging, and Leisure sectors-including casinos, cruise lines, hotels, resorts, theme parks, and other experiential consumer businesses. You'll work closely with the Consumer sector head to develop high-conviction long and short ideas, leveraging your buy-side experience and deep sector expertise.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of consumer behavior, pricing dynamics, macroeconomic sensitivities, and competitive positioning within the GLL space. Buy-side experience is required, along with a proven ability to generate alpha and present actionable ideas to portfolio managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep fundamental research and financial modeling on GLL companies
- Monitor industry trends, consumer sentiment, and macroeconomic indicators
- Develop and present differentiated investment ideas to PMs and the investment committee
- Collaborate with other analysts and PMs to align on sector strategy and risk
- Leverage alternative data and technology to enhance research insights
- Stay current on earnings, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of buy-side experience in equity research or investment analysis (required)
- 5+ years of total experience in public equities
- Deep knowledge of the Gaming, Lodging & Leisure sector
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven track record of generating high-conviction investment ideas
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Interest in applying data-driven tools and alternative data to investment research
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
