About the Role
A leading proprietary trading and technology-driven financial firm is looking for a Software Engineer to join its engineering team. You will work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and fellow engineers to build and enhance the high-performance systems that power trading operations across global financial markets.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on developing low-latency, highly reliable software where performance, scalability, and operational excellence are critical.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading applications and infrastructure.
- Build scalable backend systems that process large volumes of real-time market data.
- Work directly with traders and quantitative teams to implement new trading strategies and improve existing platforms.
- Optimize system performance, latency, and reliability across the trading stack.
- Develop tools and automation to improve monitoring, deployment, and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in performance tuning initiatives.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in software engineering using C++.
- Solid understanding of Linux-based environments and systems programming.
- Experience building distributed or performance-critical applications.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Familiarity with network programming, concurrency, and multithreaded systems.
- Experience working with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
