ECA Finance - Analyst/Associate

Key Responsibilities

Origination & Market Development

  • Support pipeline development by preparing client pitch materials, market scans, and opportunity assessments across APAC markets.
  • Monitor ECA programs, guidelines, premiums, eligible content rules, and policy changes; summarize implications for client solutions.
  • Assist with client calls, RFP responses, and internal deal approvals.

Structuring & Execution

  • Build and maintain financial models (base case & downside scenarios) to evaluate structures (buyer credit, supplier credit, untied/strategic facilities, project finance, capex lines).
  • Draft and manage term sheets, CP checklists, pricing memos, and internal credit applications.
  • Coordinate with ECAs, lenders, insurers, counsel, and advisors on due diligence, eligibility, cover terms, documentation, and closings.
  • Prepare cash flow waterfalls, repayment profiles, and covenant frameworks aligned to ECA policy and client needs.

Risk & Credit

  • Prepare credit papers-business overview, transaction rationale, risk analysis (counterparty, country, sector, FX/rate, legal), mitigants, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Support ratings, PD/LGD assessment, and stress testing for ECA-backed and uncovered tranches.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC/AML, sanctions, environmental & social risk (ESG), and anti-bribery/anti-corruption requirements.

Portfolio & Reporting

  • Track portfolio performance; manage waivers, amendments, and reviews.
  • Maintain deal files, pipeline trackers, management reporting, and regulatory data requirements.
  • Contribute to post-closing monitoring: disbursement schedules, content compliance, documentary audits, and insurance premium management.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with ECAs, banks, brokers, and internal partners (legal, tax, treasury, syndications, coverage).
  • Support syndication strategies, lender education packs, and investor outreach.
  • Coordinate cross-border internal approvals and ensure alignment with global product standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in structured finance, project finance, corporate finance, trade finance, or ECA financing.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; attention to detail and project management capability.
