Director - Private Equity Accounting 
Role Overview
This position encompasses a dynamic range of responsibilities that may evolve based on client configurations, specific requirements, and broader organizational priorities.
The individual in this role will oversee the daily operations of a Private Equity accounting team, with duties including but not limited to:
- Handling capital activity such as contributions and distributions
 - Producing financial reports and calculating net asset values
 - Allocating fees and profits/losses across entities
 - Designing and updating waterfall models
 - Generating performance metrics, including internal rate of return (IRR) analyses
 - Preparing customized reports for clients and investors
 - Maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with senior Private Equity leadership to ensure service alignment
 - Ensuring the team adheres to established internal controls and compliance standards
 - Leading and mentoring a team of up to ten professionals
 - Addressing complex accounting queries escalated from junior staff
 - Streamlining operational workflows and enhancing procedural efficiency
 - Overseeing audit engagements and ensuring timely completion
 - Managing onboarding processes for new clients and transitions
 - Recruiting, training, and evaluating team members
 - Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
 
This role requires adaptability and a client-centric mindset, as the organization emphasizes broad exposure and flexibility across all levels.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years in fund administration, ideally with 3+ years in a supervisory capacity; experience in Private Equity or alternative investment funds is also valued
 - Academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business
 - Pursuit or possession of a professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ACA) is advantageous but not mandatory
 - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
 - Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on team development
 - Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
 - Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influence across organizational levels
 - Familiarity with fund accounting systems-experience with Investran is a plus
 - Results-driven with a commitment to client satisfaction
