Direct Lending Associate

Job Summary: The Direct Lending Associate will play a crucial role in originating, underwriting, and managing direct lending investments. This position requires a strong understanding of credit analysis, deal structuring, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Origination: Identify and source new direct lending opportunities in the lower middle market.
• Underwriting: Conduct thorough credit analysis and due diligence on potential investments.
• Deal Structuring: Assist in structuring and negotiating terms for new investments.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage existing investments, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines and performance metrics.
• Market Research: Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to inform investment decisions.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in direct lending, investment banking, private equity, or related areas.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
