This senior role operates at the intersection of investment research, technology, legal & compliance, and external data providers, with broad visibility across executive leadership.
This is a high‑impact leadership opportunity for an individual who has built and scaled market data or data operations functions within complex, performance‑driven environments. The role plays a central part in shaping the firm's data operating model-driving modernization of tooling, workflows, vendor engagement, and governance-while leading teams and partnerships that support a global investment platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in market data, data operations, data infrastructure, or adjacent leadership roles within financial services or comparable environments.
• Proven success building, leading, and scaling teams with measurable operational impact.
• Deep understanding of market data ecosystems, licensing models, and governance.
• Ability to operate independently in high‑stakes, high‑expectation environments, balancing strategy with execution.
• Strong executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial acumen with demonstrated success in negotiation and cost optimization.
• Experience partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Audit on data governance or regulatory matters.
• Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and end‑to‑end ownership mindset.

Strategy & Execution

• Own and evolve the firm's market data operating model, including lifecycle management, tooling strategy, governance frameworks, and cost optimization.
• Lead modernization initiatives to improve scalability, transparency, and efficiency across data workflows and infrastructure.
• Establish clear metrics, operating rhythms, and accountability to drive consistent, high‑quality delivery.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and grow high‑performing data teams, fostering a culture of ownership, operational rigor, and continuous improvement.
• Provide senior‑level mentorship and act as an escalation point for complex operational, vendor, or audit‑related matters.

Vendor & Commercial Management

• Oversee market data vendor strategy, including contract negotiation, renewals, audits, usage reviews, and risk management.
• Drive disciplined cost management and align commercial decisions with research needs and long‑term data strategy.
• Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Purchasing, and Technology to ensure governance and operational resilience.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Work directly with senior stakeholders across investment research, alternative data, and technology to assess needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver solutions.
• Advise research teams on data sourcing strategies and trade‑offs, aligning data investments with business outcomes.
• Serve as a trusted, solutions‑oriented partner across the organization.

Global Operations & Process Excellence

• Oversee global data operations, coordinating delivery across regions and time zones.
• Drive centralization and standardization of data tracking, quality controls, reporting, and vendor records.
• Ensure accurate, auditable documentation of subscriptions, entitlements, and vendor interactions.

Compensation
