Business Development Associate - Private Equity (Software Focus)

A leading software-focused private equity firm based in Atlanta is seeking a Business Development Associate to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with seasoned investors and operators in a high-performance, collaborative environment.

The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:

• Identify and engage executives at software companies that align with the firm's investment strategy
• Build and maintain relationships with market intermediaries and industry participants
• Conduct market research and segment mapping to uncover new investment opportunities
• Prospect using email, LinkedIn, phone, and other tools to qualify leads
• Support add-on acquisition strategies for portfolio companies
• Assist the investment team during diligence through expert interviews and market analysis

The Business Development Associate should have:

• 0-3 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, software sales, recruiting, or business development
• Highly motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented with a strong sense of initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Intellectually curious and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools is a plus
• Bachelor's degree required with strong academic and professional performance
