Broker Dealer Risk Advisor

Working with a company is a global leader in market infrastructure, offering clients access to liquidity, data, and trading solutions across financial and commodities markets. The firm is currently seeking a Risk Advisory Business Partner to join its Americas team. In this high-impact, business-facing role, the individual will work closely with senior leaders to embed operational and strategic risk management into day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to proactively identify and assess key operational, strategic, and emerging risks.
• Guide and challenge the completion of formal risk assessments, including RCSAs, scenario analyses, and root cause reviews.
• Support the definition, implementation, and monitoring of risk appetite thresholds and key risk indicators (KRIs).
• Assess risk implications of strategic initiatives such as M&A, product launches, and business expansion plans.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of control frameworks, identifying weaknesses and ensuring timely remediation.
• Produce insightful risk reporting and MI to inform decision-making and keep senior leadership engaged and informed.
• Manage and escalate significant risk events, issues, and policy breaches, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution.
• Provide oversight and input into business continuity and crisis management activities across the organization.

Requirements

• Extensive product knowledge across fixed income, foreign exchange, equities, and derivatives
• Over 7 years of operational risk experience within capital markets or interdealer brokerage environments
• Strong analytical acumen, solid grasp of regulatory frameworks, and proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
