Qualifications:
- Experience Matters: You'll need a minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing risks and making informed decisions.
- General liability, commercial auto & workers compensation underwriting experience preferred
- Educational Background: A BA or BS degree, ideally in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting, will set you up for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the implementation of underwriting practices within a designated area, directing efforts to achieve underwriting objectives in specified business programs.
- Executes sales budgets and targets for the region, including attainment of premium and loss ratio objectives, engagement in agency activities, and forecasting business growth.
- Assesses and guides the underwriting of complex or sizable risks requiring advanced technical expertise in product and industry knowledge.
- Supports the cultivation of productive agency relationships
