Job Summary:
We are working with a major international banking group, who are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Internal Audit Manager to join their team in Frankfurt. As an Audit Manager focused on Market Risk and Treasury, you will lead and execute audits within these critical areas of the business. Your responsibilities will include assessing market risk frameworks, treasury operations, regulatory compliance, and overall risk management practices. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure that internal controls and processes meet regulatory standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and report on audits related to market risk and treasury functions within the banking group.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes, including market risk models, limits, and stress testing methodologies.
- Review treasury operations, liquidity management, funding strategies, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices related to market risk and treasury.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on audit findings to enhance risk management practices and controls.
- Collaborate with audit teams across different functions and regions to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment with audit standards.
As Corporate Auditor, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, FRM, CPA) is a plus.
- Extensive experience in auditing market risk, treasury, and/or related functions within the banking sector.
- In-depth knowledge of market risk principles, treasury operations, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III) applicable to banks in France.
- Proven experience leading audits or projects focusing on risk management, preferably within a large financial institution.
- Strong understanding of financial products, derivatives, and trading strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and control gaps.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior management.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities within deadlines.
- Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
