I am currently working with a Reinsurance company looking for a Director of Risk Analytics & Financial Modeling who will play a critical role in managing the risk analytics, models, and databases to ensure the effective assessment and management of risks. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining financial models and analytical tools, managing databases, advising senior management on risks and trends, and identifying process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial modeling and analytical tools for risk assessment.
- Database management for tracking quantitative reports on risk solutions.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish research objectives.
- Communicate complex analytical concepts internally and externally.
- Advise senior management on risk-related matters.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Manage third-party IT and database providers.
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of progressive experience in banking, insurance, or investments
- Advanced financial modeling expertise
- Database management for underwriting and risk surveillance
- Proficiency in EXCEL, VBA, SAS, SQL
- Bachelors degree in business related field with a preference for mathematics (Post graduate degree preferred).
