**Position Overview:**
As a Cost Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations by analyzing costs associated with production, providing insights to improve efficiency, and supporting our management team in decision-making processes. You will leverage your expertise in finance and accounting to help us maintain our commitment to quality and profitability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and analyze cost reports to provide insights into manufacturing costs and profitability.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard costing procedures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and standard costs.
- Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all cost accounting activities.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing costs.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
