About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing third-party administrator (TPA), is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead and scale its Health & Welfare operations function. This executive will be responsible for the strategic oversight of client service, account management, enrollment administration, eligibility, benefits operations, process improvement, and operational performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Health & Welfare operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Lead and develop teams across client service, account management, eligibility, enrollment, benefit administration, implementation, and operational support functions.
* Establish operational goals, KPIs, and performance metrics while driving accountability throughout the organization.
* Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term operational strategies that support continued growth and scalability.
* Evaluate and optimize workflows, processes, and technologies to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance the client experience.
* Oversee client implementation and onboarding processes, ensuring successful transitions and ongoing service delivery.
* Foster strong relationships with employer clients, carriers, brokers, consultants, and vendor partners.
* Collaborate closely with technology, compliance, finance, and service teams to deliver seamless operational support.
* Lead operational budgeting, resource planning, workforce forecasting, and organizational development initiatives.
* Identify opportunities for automation, process enhancement, and service innovation.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements while maintaining operational best practices.
* Serve as a senior escalation point for complex client service and operational matters.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required.
* 15+ years of experience within employee benefits, health and welfare administration, benefits consulting, brokerage operations, or TPA operations.
* 7+ years of leadership experience managing large operational and client service teams.
* Deep understanding of health and welfare benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, COBRA, FSA, HSA, HRA, and leave administration programs.
* Proven experience leading operations within a TPA, benefits administration firm, brokerage, consulting organization, or carrier environment.
* Demonstrated success scaling teams, improving processes, and implementing operational best practices.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational performance metrics.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
* Experience partnering with executive leadership teams to drive organizational growth and strategic initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience within a Health & Welfare TPA environment strongly preferred.
* Experience leading technology-driven operational transformations or system implementations.
* Knowledge of self-funded employer plans and benefits administration platforms.
* Advanced understanding of compliance requirements impacting employee benefits administration.
