About the Role
We are seeking a senior IT leader to drive technology strategy and execution across a European regional network for a global organization in the logistics and supply chain sector. This position combines strategic partnership, operational leadership, and innovation to ensure best-in-class IT services that align with regional business objectives and global standards.
The Vice President of Regional IT will oversee multiple locations within the region, providing governance, leadership, and alignment of technology initiatives. The role ensures IT investments deliver measurable business value and supports local needs while adhering to global policies and roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Act as the primary IT partner for regional business units, translating business needs into actionable strategies.
- Develop and manage a regional technology roadmap aligned with global objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Represent IT in cross-functional governance bodies to align on shared goals.
Technology Strategy & Execution
- Oversee regional IT platforms and ensure adherence to global standards.
- Drive documentation and scalability of core technology capabilities.
- Manage IT system services, training, and change management processes across locations.
Performance & Financial Management
- Monitor affiliate technology performance against regional objectives.
- Participate in budget planning and operational reviews.
Application & Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement, installation, and maintenance of regional SaaS applications.
- Manage relationships with software vendors and ensure governance compliance.
Talent Management
- Build and lead a highly engaged regional IT team.
- Support global IT initiatives with local leadership and resource alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including strategy and delivery in a global enterprise.
- Proven ability to align IT with business strategy and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, service management, and applications/systems.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing industries is desirable.
- Certifications such as ITIL, Agile, or BRM are a plus.
- Familiarity with digital transformation, cloud technologies, and data analytics is advantageous.
