Vice President of Finance

We are currently partnering with a leading private equity firm based in Atlanta looking to hire a Vice President of Finance to take ownership of fund-level accounting, reporting, and overall back-office operations.

This is a highly visible role within a growing platform, offering direct exposure to leadership and the opportunity to build and enhance the finance infrastructure supporting multiple funds and vehicles.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to step into a true ownership role across fund finance and operations, working closely with senior leadership to ensure best-in-class reporting, controls, and scalability as the firm continues to grow.

You will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the funds, while also improving processes, elevating reporting standards, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting and financial reporting across multiple private equity vehicles
• Manage and review quarterly and annual investor reporting, including capital accounts and financial statements
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of NAV, performance metrics, and fund-level analytics
• Lead all back-office operations, including accounting, audit, tax coordination, and compliance
• Partner with auditors, tax advisors, administrators, and fund counsel
• Support capital calls, distributions, and liquidity management
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and reporting processes
• Assist with fund structuring, onboarding of new vehicles, and operational scaling initiatives
• Act as a key liaison to partners, investors, and senior stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• 7-10+ years of experience in private equity fund accounting, financial reporting, or fund operations
• Strong understanding of PE fund structures, waterfalls, and investor allocations
• Experience managing audits, tax processes, and third-party service providers
• Background in a top-tier fund, administrator, or public/private accounting firm with PE exposure
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, with the ability to also operate at a strategic level
• CPA strongly preferred
