A fast-growing financial technology firm is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead strategic growth initiatives and deepen client engagement across the institutional investment landscape.

This company delivers sophisticated financial data solutions through a proprietary digital platform, offering real-time and end-of-day pricing, reference data, and analytics across global asset classes. Its modular, cloud-native products are designed to support front, middle, and back-office workflows for banks, asset managers, fintechs, and other financial institutions.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role for a commercially driven professional with deep experience in financial data, technology platforms, and institutional sales. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the buy-side.

You'll work cross-functionally to deliver tailored data solutions that meet evolving client needs, and play a central role in shaping the firm's go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead new business acquisition and drive expansion across existing accounts
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Conduct strategic, consultative sales engagements with institutional clients
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and client success teams to support sales efforts
  • Maintain pipeline accuracy and forecast revenue using CRM tools
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, demos, and industry events
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitive dynamics to inform sales strategy

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in financial data / data solution sales
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment workflows, and data delivery models
  • Proven success in selling APIs, data feeds, or analytics platforms to institutional clients
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and productivity platforms
