Trust Resident Manager
In this role you will support the Head of Trustee Services in managing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality trust solutions. This role is pivotal in maintaining service excellence and strengthening client relationships as part of the financial offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Trust Management
- Serve as the Resident Manager in accordance with the Trust Companies Act and MAS licensing requirements.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory duties (Regulation 10) and fit and proper standards
- Oversee accurate and timely reporting to MAS and internal stakeholders.
- Act as the primary contact for new and existing clients, as well as business introducers.
- Support client onboarding and the development of tailored trust structures.
- Manage client portfolios in line with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain high service levels and contribute to business development.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to MAS regulations, FATCA, CRS, and internal compliance frameworks.
- Supervise KYC/AML processes, due diligence, and periodic reviews.
- Promote strong governance and internal controls.
- Maintain and update trust administration policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- STEP qualification (TEP) preferred; experience in compliance is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in trust, banking, or professional services.
- Strong understanding of the Trust Companies Act and regulatory landscape.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
