Trade Operations - Petrochemical
Overview
Our client is a leading integrated petrochemicals producer with a global trading presence. They are seeking a Trade Operations Executive to support the day-to-day execution of physical petrochemical transactions from contract administration and trade documentation to logistics coordination and trade finance activities. Working closely with traders, customers, suppliers, and logistics partners, the successful candidate will ensure smooth and efficient trade execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end execution of physical petrochemical transactions from deal confirmation through cargo delivery.
- Prepare, review, and administer sales and purchase contracts in accordance with agreed commercial terms.
- Coordinate shipments with suppliers, customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, terminals, and inspection companies.
- Track cargo movements, vessel schedules, inventory positions, and delivery timelines to ensure smooth execution.
- Prepare, review, and manage trade documentation, including contracts, commercial invoices, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and inspection certificates.
- Coordinate trade finance activities, including Letters of Credit, banking documents, and documentary compliance.
- Liaise closely with traders, supply chain, logistics providers, customers, and other internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and international trade regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in trade operations, shipping operations, commercial operations, or supply chain within petrochemicals, chemicals, polymers, commodity trading, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of international trade documentation, Incoterms, and Letters of Credit.
- Experience coordinating physical cargo movements and working with logistics and shipping counterparties.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and international trading practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
