Currently representing a leading business management firm specializing in serving high-net-worth clients within the sports and entertainment industries. Our team provides a full suite of financial and advisory services, including accounting, tax planning, tour management, and wealth preservation strategies. Professionals at this firm establish a strong financial foundation and create a path for sustainable growth and stability, enabling clients to focus on achieving their professional and personal aspirations.
We are in search of multiple Senior level tax professionals ranging from managerial to director titles.
LOC: West Hollywood
COMP: $150k-$240k
Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide guidance to Senior Tax Accountants and business management accountants as assigned.
  • Assign, monitor, and oversee tasks and projects for the Tax team.
  • Prepare and review complex income tax returns, including but not limited to corporations, S corporations, partnerships, exempt organizations, annual business filings, and individual returns.
  • Assist with planning and compliance for international tax matters, including waivers and related filings.
  • Review and oversee preparation of quarterly tax projections and communicate estimated tax payment requirements.
  • Oversee and review the year-end shareholder bonus process.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to financial and tax reporting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in reviewing and managing the reporting of 1099 forms.
  • Prepare and review tax correspondence, and facilitate oversight of tax audits and notices.
  • Support entity formation and dissolution processes, including obtaining Articles of Incorporation, organizational documents, FEIN applications, and Form 2553 filings.
  • Provide assistance with tax software inquiries for the team.
  • Review annual reports, franchise tax returns, and other state filings.
  • Assist with client invoicing for tax services rendered.
Qualifications:
  • Preference for candidates who have worked with high-net-worth individuals
  • An active CPA license is required.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in a tax practice
  • Previous experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns. Including but not limited to Forms-
    • 1120
    • 1120S
    • 1040
    • 1041
  • Reviewing financial statements.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, CCH, and other tax software applications.
  • Ability to commute reliably and work onsite at the office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; Master's in Taxation or MAcc preferred.
  • Prior experience in a business management firm or the entertainment industry, with transferable skills.
