Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This position will be responsible for the entire product development cycle from concept design to mass production, ensuring our products are competitive in the market and meet user needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Market and Product Understanding:**
- Analyse market trends and user needs to ensure design solutions align with market demands and enhance user experience.
- Translate market feedback into design improvements to enhance product competitiveness.

2. **Requirement Analysis and Translation:**
- Participate in product definition and requirement analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding of product needs.
- Convert market and user requirements into technical specifications and functional requirements.
- Develop mechanical design strategies, technical requirements, and testing standards.

3. **Mechanical Design and Development:**
- Oversee product structural design, including component composition, thermal solutions, material selection, and processing techniques.
- Conduct thermal simulation, structural strength analysis, and modal analysis to optimise design solutions.
- Ensure the design achieves an optimal balance between functionality, performance, durability, cost, manufacturability, testability, and maintainability.

4. **Design Verification and Testing:**
- Develop and execute mechanical design testing plans, including performance testing, reliability testing, and environmental testing.
- Refine designs based on test results and conduct iterative verification.

5. **Risk Management:**
- Assess design risks and formulate corresponding control measures.
- Evaluate risks related to material and process stability and develop response plans.

6. **Cross-Department Collaboration:**
- Work closely with industrial design, electronic engineering, firmware development, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical design with other modules.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve complex design issues.
- Design and fabricate development tools and fixtures to enhance development efficiency.
- Support market issue investigations and drive design improvements.

7. **Supplier Management:**
- Evaluate and select suppliers to ensure materials and components meet requirements.
- Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle to address manufacturing and assembly issues.

**Qualifications:**

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
3. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Creo) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
4. Extensive experience in thermal management, structural design, material selection, and manufacturing processes, particularly for plastic and metal molding.
5. Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
6. Knowledge of product development processes and life-cycle management, with a track record of successful projects from concept to mass production.
7. Strong task management skills, with the ability to drive internal and external development tasks according to project plans and deliver high-quality results on time.
8. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with international teams and suppliers.
