The role responsibilities
As a key member of the trading desk, you will:
- Lead and execute physical fuel oil trading strategies across global markets.
- Develop and implement hedging and proprietary trading strategies to optimise risk and return.
- Contribute to the transition from fossil fuels to more sustainable alternatives
- Leverage the organisation's extensive infrastructure, logistics, and market intelligence to drive commercial success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, analytics, and risk.
- Provide support, coaching and mentorship to less experienced team members
What sets you apart:
- Several years of experience in physical fuel oil trading, with a proven track record of commercial success.
- Strong market knowledge and network across key trading hubs.
- Experience or interest in alternative fuels (LNG, biofuels, methanol) is a significant advantage.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
