The Opportunity
We're looking for a Data Engineer (Azure) with a focus on Business Intelligence to join a multidisciplinary data team. In this role, you'll help shape and evolve a modern cloud-based data platform, enabling the organization to make smarter, data-driven decisions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver impactful insights through structured data models and visualizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and models in a cloud environment.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable datasets.
- Ensure data quality, manage retention policies, and support BI reporting.
- Create dashboards and visualizations that support strategic decision-making.
- Act as a trusted advisor on data usage and analytics best practices.
What You Bring
- A higher education degree (HBO or equivalent) and experience in BI or data engineering.
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud services, especially Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or Business Objects is a plus.
- Analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach.
- Comfortable working in both English and Dutch.
- A collaborative spirit and a passion for continuous learning.
