About the Opportunity:
A growing valuation and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Business Valuation practice. This individual will work on a variety of complex valuation engagements for financial reporting, transaction support, tax, and strategic planning purposes. The role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with senior professionals across a broad range of industries and asset types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform valuations of businesses, intangible assets, contractual arrangements, and other complex assets.
- Develop and maintain discounted cash flow, option-pricing, Monte Carlo, and market-based valuation models.
- Conduct financial analysis, market research, and industry assessments to support valuation conclusions.
- Support financial reporting engagements, including purchase price allocations, impairment testing, and fair value measurements.
- Assist with transaction-related valuations, tax planning engagements, and portfolio valuation assignments.
- Prepare valuation reports, presentation materials, and client deliverables.
- Present analyses and conclusions to clients, management teams, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Review and mentor junior team members while helping manage engagement execution and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 3-6 years of experience in valuation, financial advisory, corporate finance, transaction services, consulting, or a related discipline.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Experience applying income, market, and cost-based valuation methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and work effectively in a client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting financial reporting, tax, transaction, or litigation-related valuation engagements.
- Familiarity with fair value accounting and valuation standards.
- Progress toward or completion of a professional designation such as CFA, ASA, CPA, or ABV.
- Prior experience reviewing work product and mentoring junior professionals.
